DYNTRA and CERC launched an online Municipal Transparency Portal

Uvira, February 7, 2018 – The Dynamic OpenGov Technologies (DYNTRA) and Centre de Recherche sur l’Anti-Corruption (CERC) today (February 2018) launched an online Municipal Transparency Portal to measures in real time the transparency level of the 191 municipalities of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in a dynamic, efficient, transparent, open and collaborative way. CERC plans to launch “Integrity Idol”, a nationwide campaign run by citizens in search for honest government officials. 

Integrity Idol is a global campaign that started in Nepal in 2014, then reached Liberia in 2015, Pakistan and Mali in 2016 and has now plan to set its foot in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). 116 people trained on Community Integrity Building’s Training of Trainers

Towards promoting honesty, integrity and equality in education sector, CERC was conducted a four days Training of Trainers (ToT) on Community Integrity Building in 2 batches in Uvira. The first batch of the training taken place in Uvira City  from 20-23 December 2017 and 26-28 December 2017 and the second batch of the training was delivered earlier in January in Sange City from January 8-10 January and 11-13 January 2017.  In total 116 participants from 20 secondary school including 57 teachers and headteachers and 59 Integrity Club leaders was trained. CERC staff members participated in Community Integrity Building Training of Trainers in Tanzania

5 CERC staff members had taken part in  Community Integrity Building’s Training of Trainers Program  in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania from November 27 – December 1st 2017. During the time spent together with our donor Integrity Action in Dar es Salaam participants got to try out the new version of DevelopmentCheck and practice entering monitoring data. We have also spent some time planning an advocacy campaign to help raise awareness of the merits of Integrity in the DRC. Integrity Clubs launched in 20 secondary schools in South Kivu

December 8, 2017 – Le Centre de Recherche sur Anti-Corruption “CERC” has launched  Integrity Clubs in secondary schools in Uvira/South-Kivu. This effort is part of the “Student acting for Honesty, Integrity and Equality (SHINE) Project funded by Integrity Action. This Project aims to promote among school children a civic character that will result into positive civic engagement that promotes integrity and good governance.
